Eligibility for IPS

To become an IPS, you must have a degree in any discipline from any recognized university.
You must be an Indian to become an IPS. Residents of Nepal and Bhutan can also take this test.

Age Limit for IPS

  • To become an IPS, your age should be between 21 to 32 years.
  • Relaxation is given to the reserved categories as per rules.
  • There is a relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

Physical Eligibility for IPS

For men

Height should be 165 cm and chest should be 84 cm for general category candidates.
Height should be 160 cm and chest should be 84 cm for OBC and SC/ST category candidates.

For women

Height should be 150 cm and chest should be 79 cm for general category candidates.
